Led Zeppelin. They could rock as well as anybody yet some of their more mellow stuff showed what versatile songwriters they are. Plus, let's face it....a lot of rock and roll singers couldn't perform in any other genre, really. But Robert Plant has such an outstanding voice, he could have sung opera if he had wanted to and been good at it. Also, John Bonham and Jimmy Page were truly cutting edge with their instruments.

Rolling Stones (besides for bands with Clapton and Steve Winwood). Love the various styles they've used and the longevity of the Jagger-Richards dynamic. Seen them live three times - would have seen a fourth but got pneumonia - and they are always better than records and never seem to repeat themselves. Gonna keep playin' on stage until the die.

My favorite band is Guns N' Roses. They are hard, gritty, cutting edge, and stylish music. They set their own standard of music combining punk, hard rock, metal and alternative. Their music fires me up like every song on Appetite for destruction (which I consider the greatest hard rock album of all time.). They have beautiful ballads on their Use your Illusion albums. Plus they put on a hell of a show. Not to mention each band member is recognizable, (Axl, Slash, Duff, Izzy and Matt) and they don't put up with any ****. G'N'R rocks!!!

The Fray because they are from my school and they are still SO down to earth (they're not too cool to take time to catch up with old school-mates) and they have a very unique, soothing, emotional sound!

I love Rascal Flatts because they are country, but they aren't bad country like "ewwwww cover my ears" or anything. They have a nice, fresh sound and their music is all good.
