Either the majority of the people who have answered your question, thus far, did not read it or, EXACTLY as you have implied, do not understand the governing system in the United States.

Representative Government DOES have HUGE flaws and IS a problem. Private interest affecting Public Policy to the degree that it does in this country IS a problem.Politicians responding soley to monetary donations intended to ensure that the source's interests are represented makes for a system in which the ELITE are represented as opposed to the common people. Take a government class, read a book or two, or heck read the US Constitution and then look around. Things have gone a bit awry.

Sad to say but our once great nation's democracy has been crumbling in a bipartisan way for some decades. Yes, our representative democracy has become a failure. Why? Simple: politicians and the two major parties have been corrupted by corporate and other financial special interests. We now have government filled with people who no longer truly and honestly represent we the people. BUT THERE IS A FINELY DETAILED STRATEGY ON HOW TO FIX OUR DEMOCRACY, JUST PUBLISHED: "Delusional Democracy - Fixing the Republic Without Overthrowing the Government." Our country is our own enemy. They've already forced an "Economic draft" by making poor young people so despirate for cash that they flock to the armed forces to avoid being homeless.

When we start to feel safe, they allow a nice attempted terrorist attack to come to light so we all get scared and then trust them to pry into our private lives even more.

Cameras are installed everywhere so you can get a ticket without even being pulled over. Think it's just for traffic control? For now yes,, but just watch! In the future they'll use it to watch our every move as soon as they get the chance to take away our freedowm. It's all a matterof time.

Our country is our own countries enemy

A lot of people do see the wrong, but they cannot change the system. And keeping the integrity of our government is more important to a lot of people then creating anarchy. Both the House and the Senate have a Republican majority. They make the policies and rules. They are in control. They support Bush. Wait until November to see what happens.

It is dangerous to generalise, so I'll restrict my answer to the few who cannot and will not see that the real enemy is on T.V. addressing them every other day!

He is blood thirsty and has little regard for human lives.

He says he is spreading democracy when in fact he is callously taking human lives every day.

You know who it is, George Walker Bush!

Please take out the walker from his name so that perhaps the world will get a chance to live in peace for once in a really long time. That way, he'll stop walking to other countries to stir up trouble!

For those of you who see the Muslims as your enemy, think again.

One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know who you are or where you are from, but I will tell you this, that the real threat to any Country is the people who are in it and the people who are running it. That includes the United States of America. People in general are the problem, and it is the people who are harming themselves and eachother. Ultimately the threat of people and Countries IS the people. Greed, distruction, anger, and jelousy is the real threat to all the Countries and society. They say we need Goverment and Presidents and other Leadership to have order and substance. No I don't beleive that. I beleive that people can fight, and defend and build there own homes just fine....... people are perfectly capaible of making their own dessions and life choices. All leadership does is makes dessions for us, and charges us for land that should be free to us and not charged to us to live. I full believe that the real threat is the people and has always been 'THE PEOPLE'. And we are killing and ruining our own planet and we have noone to blame but ourselves. blessed be

even if it takes to maintain our liberty, freedoms and danger. we can do, and are doing each and every thing we may be able to to inform others of the ability grab in this administration, that caters to the elitists and turns a deaf ear to the folk. we will be heard. See you on the polls in November! MR

I believe we gutless americans have put an american boot up the rear end of a so called muslim army twice.the problem we have now is that liberals have manged to tie the american soldiers hands behind his back again ,and forced the american army to fight with rules they don`t expect another rag tag muslim so called army to follow.

The real enemy is you. Spineless jellyfish who are very powerful behind a keyboard but then when you ask them what have they done to make the world a better place they just call you a name.

Typical leftist marxist drivel. Its getting tiresome I must say.
