Acceptance of and freedom for Muslims in most non-Islamic countries isn't perfect, but it is by a far cry MUCH better generally than is the case for non-Muslims in Islamic countries. Why?

that's a very perceptive question....every where I read Muslims defending their religion they say how it's peaceful.....but evidently that only applies if you agree with them. I mean they are even killing each other over what brand of Islam you belong to.
I really have nothing against Muslims, it's just tiresome to see indefensible acts from any group treated so nonchalantly.
That is the difficulty of living in a theocracy rather than a democracy. At least in "the great satan" as America is called you don't get killed for disagreeing with the predominant religion.

First off, in today's world there is no such thing as a 'Muslim' country as defined in the religious books of Islam. Saudi Arabia is often referred to as a 'Muslim' country but is probably further from it than the USA. Historically, there was a time when Muslim Spain was close to following the guidelines of religious freedom set up in Islamic texts. Very generally, if the ruling party was Islamic, all other religions have freedom to practice their religion and govern their own group. When Spain was re-conquered by Christian groups, many Jews fled to other Muslim majority countries to have the freedom to practice their religion.

I agree that the state of the world today is sad. Also, propaganda is being thrown in every direction. I encourage everyone to open their minds and their hearts and educate themselves. There are at least two sides to every story.

Because Muslim countries are ruled by a religion: Islam. Most other countries, at least those we hear about and visit, are democracies, run by the people, not a small collective of religious leaders.
