Check with the airlines you will be using. Minutes before leaving for the airport try to find the online policies and print them out. (Be sure the date and time is stamped at the bottom of the page when printing.) Carry the printout at all times during your travel and if a conflict arrises, show the authorities the printout as your reasoning why you are violating their laws which they like to change every two minutes. They might just let you go with a simple strip search to be sure you are not hiding any other banned substances. However, this will delay you from getting to your flight on time and you should plan on being on the standby list for around 4 days to catch another flight to your destination! Hee hee hee.... Just kidding... Best thing though would be to both check online policies and call the airlines within an hour of your heading out to the airport...then ask the airline check in clerks if any policies have changed since what ever time you called.

No! It has been all over the news (in the US anyways) that liquids are not allowed on a plane. You will be asked to throw it away right then and there. I believe formula is allowed and probably medications. But if you have meds I would suggest bringing in the paperwork for the perscription.

Checked is fine, there is a limit of a 16 ounce (I think) container size in checked luggage. Normal size shampoo bottle is fine.

There are no problems checking it in your regular baggage. Remember to put liquids in ziplock bags in case they leak. They really throw those bags around.

No sweetheart, not unless you want to be sitting in the airport security office for hours while they determine the contents inside the bottles.
