A lot of people ask questions just to prove that there is no answer that will be acceptable to them. Some mask their hostile generalizations as questions.

A lot of these posts are about religion, politics, and race.

Because sometimes they do. Everything isn't written in a book ,and sometimes the answer requires a lot of research, the person asking the question does not want to do. Sometimes people just want to hear some opinions. Some of the questions are just a gripe and we all need to do that sometimes. And sometimes the questions are meant to annoy and nothing more. I don't make the assumption that everybody on here really wants an answer. Their minds have been made up about the issue a long time ago. And why people on here ever come to Yahoo questions with a query about what medications they can take with other medications, I'll never know. Some questions are better left to the doctor, the dentist, the pediatrician, or some other professional who is just a phone call away. Some of the questions can be answered just by googling. But some of the questions are best answered by people who have been in the same situation. That's my opinon for what's its worth.

The real question here is what do "you" think, because ultimately you are going to believe what you believe to be the answer. Asking others for their opinion on what ever you are pondering is a healthy, intelligent way of gathering facts before drawing your "own" conclusion. If your question pertains to a subject that is very important in your life, then seeking as much information and opinions is exactly what I would do before making up my mind. Nobody has the answer to alot of questions you will have through your life, only you do or will.
If your questions are about reading, writing and arithmetic you can listen and learn. Life's experiences are exactly that, learned by experience, but by asking others, those life experiences may be more easily accepted and making good memories from what you have learned.

Basically, you don't know the answer to your question -- just yet. In other words, a single person does not have all the answers to everything, especially to his own questions so he seek for others' opinion. His thoughts as well have yet to be approved or appreciated, if not rejected, by other people if he seeks approval or appreciation, especially for his somewhat unusual efforts or feat, so he asks, "Did I do the right thing?" or, "I wonder what they'll say about what I've done?"

because every question has an answer and there is someone out there who can answer it. Why do you think people will have an answer to your question?

Sometimes a person that has more experience can provide valuable insight on a situation that they may not see clearly for themselves. Plus, it is comforting to talk to someone who can relate to how they feel or is familiar with the issue that they're facing at the time.

Questions are not usually asked by people in search of answers.
This is pretty much a type of entertainment / chat room...
The questions are often real questions but this forum is not really where the asker is looking for answers...

Because chances are great, that someone else shares your experience and may have great insight to offer. It's also easier to talk in this forum rather than face to face for some.
