Change the Oil, put fresh gas in. make sure your battery is charged, If it has a carb you might want to spray some carb cleaner in it. thats about all you would need if the car was running fine before you stored it. Otherwise you could need to do a lot more.
Good luck

Not really it will either start or it won't
but some things to check before you start is make sure all of the fluids are topped up and still good. make sure the oil does not have any fuel in it from leaking seals and make sure the oil is still a nice brown color if it is a dark black sludge color you need to change it but a couple months of sitting shouldn't do that to oil. Make sure you have plenty of coolant (water or antifreeze) in the radiator. Lastly make sure the battery cables are connected properly.
The only things that could really damage the truck is if the oil drained out or fowled or if the antifreeze drained out. :)
Nothing else should have failed while it was just sitting around.
Last general rule is if you do get it turned on and it sounds terrible then obviously swiftly shut it off and take it to someone who can tell you what is wrong with it.
Good luck.

Might be a good idea to go ahead and change the oil. If it's been sitting for months, I suspect that all the oil has worked its way to the bottom, and there's very little on the lifters, etc. If you check the oil first, and it's a little low...say, half a quart or more...you could just add enough to fill it and that'd be enough. Once you get it started, the oil pump will start the oil circulating again.
Good luck...

I would disconnect the primary coil wire and crank the ignition for a few minutes to circulate some oil through the engine before starting it. If not it will be a very dry start.

make sure that there is gas, check your coolant level, check out your rotors and be sure that they are not rusted, check your battery to be sure that it still has a charge, and check your tires as you left the car sitting for months, a flat spot could form on the tires from the prolonged weight of the car in the same position.

if it's something that's worth alot to you, you can make sure all the bearings, cam, lifters, etc. are pre oiled by priming the oil system by hand prier to turning the engine over and starting it. If it's not that important to you, just start it and let it idle until you've got oil pressure.
