I usually give them a brief history of my educational and work background. Keep it brief -- like "I have a degree in XXXX from YYY University. Then I worked for a few years as a ZZZZ before going back to school for my MBA. SInce then I've been working at the AAAA corporation doing BBBB. "
I only talk about other interests if asked. I would limit it to a few things & don't go into too much detail. Something like "I've lived in eight different states, play squash and enjoying reading" is more than enough. Personal details and sexual fetishes should not be mentioned.

You need to know what is expected of you when you appear for an interview meaning you need to do your R&D on the organisation before you present yourself for the interview. There are no fundamentals as to where to start and what to start as long as you are confident about yourself
