This 'Insecurity thing' that people suffer from is a horrible thing. Ok, so say that you were born a certain way, and there was nothing you could do to help it, like a hairlip, shortness, cystic fibrosis, mental retardation or obesity. The 'insecurity thing' comes from the great unwashed public putting you down, or laughing at you, or assuming that what you suffer from (particularly obesity) is something you've done, owing to a major flaw in your character, and so therefore you must be laughed at or ridiculed until you learn your lesson and become thin, fully functional or a genius. I don't think , in fact I know , that the majority of people have never gone through anything as hurtful, limiting or demeaning as something like the stuff I've just listed, so they have no idea, and instead just poke fun, laugh or taunt mercilessly until you drop 10 stone and die of heart failure or give up and write off the rest of your life. Not everyone can get over teasing just because they changed one or two aspects of their lives....
