There's some awesome cross stitch software out there that you can take a picture and the software will create a cross stitch pattery from it and tell you all the colors you need to purchase. Do a quick search - there's lots of them out there.

No, but with new technology at your fingertips...take your favorite photo of Johnny "stunning" Depp to a printer or craft shop to print his "stunning" photo on your cross-stitch map!! Vual-ah!!
