If >1 sites are open in Internet Explorer & I close any one of them, an error message appears asking me whether to send error report? If opt for NO, all pages get close on its own & I have to start all over again. If I opt YES, then after lot of "online examination" of my computer by Microsoft; I expected that problem will get solved but there is no improvement. What can be done about this?

Download Internet Explorer 7. It uses tabbed web browsing, meaning that you can have multiple web pages open within one web browser!

something is crashing IE. probably some code on the sites you're visiting or maybe you're opening a bunch of windows/pages that are all trying to stream video or something.

anyway, there's probably nothing you can do about it. and always choose "no" on the error report thing. that won't help you (as you've seen).

instead of IE, try a different browser like firefox http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/ it's free and easy to use and seems to crash a lot less.

good luck!

it seems that you have some kind of spyware or virus that is still running in your computer or that was there and corrupted some files of windows and IE. I suggest you to update your browser or use opera, firefox or other similar browser. i know that probably you don't like the other browser just like me then maybe you can try to install the new IE 7.

also try by restoring your computer to earlier date.

Go to Microsoft.com, download and install the lastest version of IExplorer. Sounds like you have a corrupt file somewhere in your currently installation.

Or better yet, switch to Firefox.
