If you accept that they are receding at close to light speed, then you accept that it IS possible to attain such a speed...

It sounds like you changed your mind about what is possible or impossible half-way through your question.

How close to the speed of light 10% or 99%??? where did you get this speed from and who is doing the receding? Is this speed measured from a fixed point in space or just from us? The relative speeds of our movement and that of other galaxies means that we are receding from them at the same speed as they are receding from us so what happens to us is the same as what happens to them which is basically nothing

Speed relative to...? What, us? They are so far from us, they are hardly relevant. If you think that we are receeding at say 60% of light-speed from a given 'static' point, star, or galaxy, and on the far side, opposite us, there is a galaxy receeding at say, 60% of the speed of light, well, doesn't that add up to 120% of the speed of light, isn't that impossible?
You are applying Newtonian thinking to Relativistic territories, and it doesn't work. They are so - instantly- outside of each others frame of reference, as to be irrelevant to one another.

OK?

How hard is it to reread what you type before you post it to the world like this? I don't have a clue what you're talking about because you make no sense.

Perhaps you could reword your question? Not sure what you're asking...
