I have used liquid dishwasher soap(not hand dishsoap) to get permanent marker off of my counters and wood. Just put the soap on and rub a little with your finger, you may have to let it sit for a minute or two to work. Also I know that nail polish remover works to get marker off. Test both in a small area to make sure there is no damage to the granet.

Try the cleaner called Goo Gone. Its a solvent, and takes off tape stickum and all kinds of things. It might take off the wax in crayon.
An internet search yielded the following:
How to Clean Crayon From a Wall
What is it about toddlers and crayons and walls? Instead of sharing those colorful thoughts of yours with the doodling toddler, do something really off-the-wall: Get little Sam or Susie to help you make the colorful wax disappear.
Steps:
1. Gently scrape away the wax with a plastic spoon or spatula.
2. Sprinkle baking soda on a damp white cloth.
3. Give the cloth to one of your tots and have him rub the marks off.
4. Dampen a sponge for the other one and have her rinse clean the residue.
5. Really stubborn marks may require Mom or Dad to spray on a very grown-up product: WD-40 or other multipurpose lubricating oil.

i honestly won't drink out of a soda can. this is a quirk I even have. I wipe off the suited, pop it and pour it right into a glass of ice. If i've got not got a glass of ice accessible......i've got not got a soda.
