Java.exe takes 26 Mb of RAM. I'm sure C++ is very close to that. I would suggest upgrading your RAM (it's cheap these days) or closing all unnecessary programs through CTRL+ALT+DEL Processes Tab.
When your computer runs out of RAM, there's not room for it to execute a Dump prep or End Programs. So it would just freeze up, except that there's a fail safe Restart switch. This is the chosen method for remedying the problem, since the only way out of a memory clog is a restart. Sometimes your computer will see the memory getting full, and it will extend the Cache size, but most times it doesn't have time to do this.

it is possible that you not have the sufficient amount of RAM - it is specially for java that it is very sensible to this or to have a problem with cooler.
It is possible that this editors caused a error to windows
if you want that windows not restart after an error try
this
Control panel >performance and maintenance >System
On the Advanced tab, under Start up and Recovery, click Settings.
Under System Failure, select the check boxes that correspond to the actions you want Windows to perform if a Stop error occurs:
Write an event to the system log specifies that event information will be recorded in the system log.
Send an administrative alert specifies that your system administrator will be notified.
Automatically reboot specifies that Windows will automatically restart your computer (unchecked this)
But attention this is not always a good option!
