The Grand Florid. Is one of the most expensive of all the disney resorts. Go to www.allearsnet.com to get the full low down on all the resorts. It depends on what you want. We are staying at the Polynesian. It is 389 a night but, it has the monorail, is next to Chef Mickey's character breakfast in the Contemporary. It has two pools, beach, and you can rent watercrafts. It is on the Magic Kingdom loop. So you can see the fireworks from the beach. Have a great time!!

I've been to Disney about the same amount of times, I've stayed many of those trips at the Polynesian and Animal Kingdom Lodge. I have also stayed at the New Pop Century resort, The Contemporary and the Caribbean. I have seen all of them and I would say for your situation with the kids I would recommend the new Pop Century. It is new clean and very kid friendly. Nice pools, Great food court, and the grounds have games and things for the kids to play on/with. The contemporary would also be good. Um kinda higher priced, but Worth it. It is right next to Magic Kingdom, on the monorail so you would have to mess with buses that much. It has a nice pool and a game area for kids. I was there a while ago but if a recall they have a kiddie pool as well. The rooms are plenty big and you could even get a view of the castle! Almost all of Disney hotels are kid friendly because they know kids of all ages come to Disney.! Good luck and have fun!

Sure! I don't blame you on either Resort. And its always nice to try something new. My all time favorite resorts are the Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Polynesian. Both are super kid friendly and as nice as can be. But I'm sure you are well aware that these Resorts are also some of the most expensive at Disney. If you are on a budget, I recommend Port Orleans or Coronado Springs. Both are moderately priced Disney Resorts, but are great for kids.
Outside of the parks, I recommend the new Nickolodian Resort located off I-4 near exit 67. I haven't stayed there personally, but I've heard great things about it!

You should check out the Nickelodean Family Suites by Holiday Inn. I have not stayed there, but it looks fun and kid-friendly. It is pretty close to Disney too.
If you want to stay at a Disney hotel, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge would be my recommendation. It is definitely a step up from Caribbean Beach Resort or the All-Star Resorts. Kids love being able to see wild animals right at the resort.

I have been to several hotels that are nice but the BEST is (for the money) is the Comfort Suites at Old Town.I pay only $49-$79 and it is just walking distance to Old Town. The BEST thing is there FREE yes FREE breakfast!! They have a buffet that you serve yourself. The food is really good too, For a free buffet.Try the waffles, you make them yourself.I eat myself silly there. The rooms and the hotel is Top notch-clean! I go to Hotels.com and search for that hotel all the time.I have stayed there 5 times in the last 3 years.I go to Disney @ twice a year. They have a nice bar and pool too.I have stayed at @ 30 different hotels in Orlando, some are "Hit or Miss" Stay with chain hotels,NOT these "The Enchanted Flamingo" or anything with "Motorlodge" in the title. These places SUCK!

I would recommend the Doubletree Guest Suites in Downtown Disney. The Suites include 2Q or 1K, a sleeper sofa with coffee table, refrigerator, microwave, sink, table and chairs. It is located just inside the East Gate of Disney and is not far from a McDonalds and a Winn Dixie grocery store. My wife and I stayed there last December. It is very family friendly.

I can't say whether the Grand Floridian is high or low in price (although I would guess high), however, it is an absolute dream! Why not stay at the All-Star for the bulk of your trip and then finish it off with a weekend at the GF? It is really something else, you feel transported to another time and place, and it is truly luxurious. I was a kid when I went and I was mesmerized, still think about it.

We had a real nice time at Animal Kingdom, A little farther away from the parks then we would like, But beautiful inside, nice pool, Great staff they treat you great. The Grand Floridian is nice, Never stayed there but been there for dinner and shopping. It is only about $350 per night at Animal Kingdom.
Good Luck and have fun we are going in a couple of weeks. Can't wait.

We stayed at the Riverside, and its really nice there. The vegetation is great, and the ferry ride to Downtown Disney is fun. The buses are very run in an organized and I was impressed.
Remember though to check into a room that the building is close to the main area. We stayed in the Alligator Bayou building.

You stayed at the All Stars, did you try Pop Century?
That was fun.
Also, I would recommend the Animal Kingdom Lodge, or Fort Wilderness Lodge. Although these are more costly, they are definitely different scenery!
