The best is either Thierry Henry, Wayne Rooney, Deco or Steven Gerrard. All of these players mentioned above could attack and defend. Not only tt, they can also inspire their teams. Ronaldinho may be reigning world player of the year, but i dun think you see him defending. And Pele juz score goals. Comparing it to today's football, it's way tougher. Think abt it =D

It all depends. Right now is Ronaldinho. But if you are taling of someone who knows how to score no matter what is Ronaldo from Brazil. Hes the top scorer in history in the fifa world cups of all time. But Pele is the best of all time , but top scorer of all time is Ronaldo.
