Sure you can, but it's going to cost you a fortune. The days of simply being able to swap one engine out for another went the way of the dodo in the 1980's. Nowadays, the Big Three and the big Japanese/German automakers build specific engines for specific cars. If you want to take the Northstar out, that'll cost you a couple of thousand dollars right there. Then it'll cost you a couple of thousand for the 350 block and probably at least $5,000.00 to have them put it in for you -- and it'll never run right because it wasn't designed for that car. You're better off trying to figure out why the Northstar is overheating and getting that fixed. It'll cost a heck of a lot less, that's for sure.

Yes you can but you would be better off getting the northstar fixed as, if the overheating problem is due to the fan or radiator, it may still happen with a new engine unless you replace that stuff as well.

Let me understand this, you want to spend thousands and thousands of dollars to retro-fit an engine in your vehicle, 10x more than the car is worth because it is overheating?????
Anything is possible for the right amount of money but by the time you change the engine, transmission, drive train, computer system, it should cost you about $25,000 - $30,000 dollars.
Good Luck.

That is a good question. I don't know what the northstar bell housing bolt pattern looks like to know for sure. I will check for you and add to this post.
