The hive is in a crevice on the base of the tree. I went to orchard supply and the salesperson was not able to show me which chemical to use.

This was just on TV - they went up at night with a stick pole and just knocked the hive out of the tree - The bees left and did not come back -
Wear some protective clothing, though and make dead aim
at the base wear it attaches to the tree branch
Or cut the branch down...

remove good luck !! get rid of i can help . wate till night time get some bee killer like raid and spray the hell out of the hive wate an hour or two and hit it with the hose once it on the ground thay wont return

Call a bee keeper....seriously. I did. There is a time when the nest is dormant throughout the day. They've suits to wear. You...stay in the house!

depends on where you live,temperature ,etc. most places you can wait until after dark , get a large trash bag slip it over the hive cut off the branch tie a knot in the bag , dirty deed done dirt cheap!

Spray it with insecticide after dusk, when they're all in the hive. Then you can take it down.

Call an exterminator to do it, and when they come out, hide in the house.
