Well easier to do with files. You can set permissions (you must be administrator) so that no one can access your folders. Typically that's if you're on a home network. If you're sharing a computer with XP, you could have separate logons - but administrator could still view. You could have a screensaver associated with your name so that people would have to know the password to get into 'your' computer.

Password protecting files is a lot easier.

Yes, check the security options of the folder; however, if the person can access your account on that computer, yikes.

yes there is
right click the folder choose properties
then advanced then check the ecryption check box
this will protect you from other users on your computer gaining access to the folder
but if they log in as you or you leave your pc logged in as you they will have access
this only prevents other logged in users from seeing whats in that folder while logged in as themselves

ya there are some programs that u can use , but if u don't wanna buy anything , u can click on the folder with the right click , the properties, the folder options , then choose it to be hidden , and if u wanna see it again do the same thing but choose to see it !!
