I believe that tarot cards have no power of themselves. It's the power of the psychic using them that makes them work. Also, because it's the psychic's power, it's not good to go to a psychic that knows you, or do many readings for yourself or close friends: if it's off of your power, then you're perceptions will warp your ability to make the cards come out right.

I used to do readings for myself. The last time I did was when a boyfriend died. I kept doing it over and over again, shuffling and shuffling, but it still came out with him dying. He did die that day too, though I tried to prevent it.
