I have seen her do interviews asking questions about someones tragedy or death with a smirk on her face. She just seems phony and insincere. And she needs some botox around those wrinkled lips. She is just over-rated and over-paid. Give me Ann Curry anyday.

Yes! She sucks. I'm glad a woman is finally the anchor of the nightly news, but Katie Couric?! She has no credibility and was SO annoying on Today. To be fair though, everyone on that show is annoying and way too perky.

I like Katie Couric, so I disagree with you. She is very compassionate during interviews with people dealing with loss--she lost her husband in his 40's to colon cancer and her beloved sister Emily a few years ago to cancer as well. Emily was a rising star in Virginia politics, and Katie's had to raise her two daughters without the husband she loved so much and tried desperately to save. Everyone owes her a debt of gratitude for putting a face on colon cancer research and colonoscopies, as both topics were barely in the news. She's saved many lives by taking the fear out of colonoscopies or reminding people to get screened, and she tries very hard to get research money for colon cancer. I hope you'll reconsider your feelings.

I thought Katie did a pretty good job on the Today show, with light hearted subjects- but hard core news is quite a different thing. I agree, most of those people are over-paid.

I was under the impression that I was the only America who hated her because her face is plastered all over TV, making me think that everyone loves this fraud. She is ambitious, but not in a good way. She is extremely annoying to watch, as you have said, and I wouldn't trust a single word that comes out of her mouth. The only thing you'll get from her is her highly overrated opinion of everything, which is not news, and people will swallow it up. I think I actually preferred Dan Rather... ugh!

I don't really like her. The way she interviews people is down right mean sometimes. If she doesn't agree with a person she just keeps interrupting and trying to back them into corners.

such a hateful little thing are you not? , maybe loosing her husband to colon cancer and raising her children on her own , has put those wrinkles on her face, but I for one respect her and her courage, she done more for cancer awareness, by going through the tests herself .Know you probably don't have any flaws, but some people have a nervous little laugh or way about them,

Oh, I know it.............I love Ann Curry so much more......the only thing Katie had was some spontaneity, now what is she going to do on delivering the news of the day...............be a smart *** about so many serious things???????????????? beats me why CBS did something that stupid
