The only success in the so called 'War on Terror' has been the slow dissolution of democracy here in America.

-Invasions of countries for their resources
-NSA wiretapping
-Patriot Act
-Worthless Do-nothing Republican Congress

Actually only the NSA wiretapping is illegal, of those listed.

And all are examples of democracy in action, since the majority of the people involved did support the actions. That's the really frightening thing.

So, no Bush isn't waging a war on democracy. He's just exploiting people's fears to get them to do what he wants them to. That's called politics.

Yeah, see, there is no democracies in the world, that I know of. Democracies are what you would call what Ancient Athens had: where all the townsfolk met and squabbled about things. We don't do that. We have other people do that for that we elect to represent us, which makes us a Republic. Bush's War on Terror is an attack on what he believes to be the foundations of terror: lack of freedom, oppression, and fear. I'm not condoning or putting down Bush, I'm looking at it from a neutral standpoint.

What would you rather have: a "do-nothing Republican Congress" or a dictatorship like North Korea or even like the United Arab Emirates, or Syria or even Turkmenistan where they have no rights other than whatever little ones the dictator will ALLOW them to have. If you're a woman, forget about any rights whatsoever.

How is the Patriot Act and NSA wiretapping the dissolution of democracy? The liberal democracy which we value is to protect our rights and freedoms. People who say that the Patriot Act and NSA wiretapping go against the constitution. But where in the constitution the protection of privacy?

What is also ridiculous is there are people all over this country who THINK democracy is still intact in this country! While Electoral college has been in use since the 1800's & while never ever having a political/voting/polling election process that was Iron clad proof positive & verifiable by the public "the fox always guarding the hen house effect in place" The Bill of rights would indicate Majority rule and control not the Imperial Fascism we face today that is smoke-screened!

Thank you for sharing your OPINION.

Opinion does not equal fact.

I know that is hard for your tiny liberal brain to grasp.
