My experience with grief:
The first season is the hardest: nearly impossible to get through, every day, every minute hurts. Every thought is one of loss. Even sleep provides no real relief.
The next season (i.e: three months to six months after) is still foggy and difficult but you start feeling a little bit more human. You can occasionally get distracted from your pain and connect with others.
The third season following the loss starts to brighten up considerably and you re-discover the joys of life.
After a full year has passed, you are able to remember your loved one comfortably and with pleasure. You become grateful that you knew this person and know that you will treasure the memories for the rest of your life.
I am thinking of you.

You will never truely get over a lost one .. wether it be a fiance or friend .. there is no RIGHT or wrong time to morn, i had a boyfriend that passed away a year and a half ago .. he was 20 years old but i STILL miss him with all of my heart, i still find myself crying occasionally .. but it all gets better in time, you start to realize that they are in a better place and when you finally get to that place also there won't be a problem with anything .. everyone morns different ways and for different amounts of time ..

It depends on what loved one it is. If it was a parent, grandparent or sibling a long time. Extened family not so long. However over one year is a really long time to mourn, she should be coming to terms with it now. Maybe suggest she should talk to someone, or go to a support group of some kind. Support her, she is obviously taking this hard. Good luck

It's a personal thing since people grieve in different ways. For some it may take months, for others it may be years.

Well lets see, you could sit aroung and morn for a year or three months or ten years, or you could accept reality, do a bit of morning and move on with life.

It all depends on how she feels.. It counts on how much you are there for her as well as how much space you give her to deal with it..
Make sure that you show her that it matters too you..
Don't be pushy.. Do what you will for the rest of your lives..
Time heals all..
Hope all is well..

It never stops really. Though the intensity fades along with the coming up of these feelings less often.

as long as it takes sweetheart. until you feel like you're ready to move on. i think if my husband died, i just wouldn't get over it. i mean yeah i'd function on a day to day basis, but he's the love of my life... that's just not something you forget. if it's you that's mourning the loss, i am so sorry.

For as long as it takes. It took me a year to think about it objectively.
