I am a United States Army soldier and am fighting in Iraq at present. I disagree with this war, but have no choice, else I be thrown in the brigs.

I believe that I can escape the Iraq war, the bloodshed is to much to bear, the carnage to great.

If I can escape and make it to Dutch territory, what is the possibility that the Netherlands government will accept me as a citizen without naturalisation papers.

I fear that if this cannot be accomplished, my life shall cease due to my own country's tyranny, and also the lives of my comrads, as we are under constant attack from all sides.

I don't quite believe you either, because if all of this were true I hardly believe that you would post this question on a public forum, but I suppose that you may be that stupid considering you enlisted in the US military in the first place. I would suggest a communist country if your looking for asylum. Learn to speak Chinese, they would be your best bet. First go to Iran and find the Chinese embassy, they will do the rest for you.

I'm not judging you or your story but forget the Netherlands!!!!!!!
They are a very loyal member of NATO and will surely not accept you as a citizen. The current government will do whatever the US tell them so you have no chance if you go to Holland.

Good luck anyway.

No, you aren't. Your words and sentence structure prove otherwise.

My point isn't that an American soldier is too stupid to write like this questioner, it's that this questioner doesn't write like an American. Take the word "naturalisation " we don't spell it like that.

Good for you. I respect you for being man enough to change your mind, not that you chose US to invade Iraq.

There is a guy from the US claiming refugee status here in Canada, for much the same reason...and it looks good for him, and he has much supporet here...

Good luck on your travel plans and watch your government doesnt monitor your question here...

You'll have to apply for Asylum. I think they may be sympathetic to your principled opposition to our wrongeheaded neocon foreign policy. It has dismayed our allies, though they are not speaking of it much since they still need to work with us.

Funny, sum_kinda_zombie in essence categorizes all fighting men as illiterate, stupid men, since no soldier would write as well as the questioner does.
