What happened to the good players from US? I was told that all of them were all titled from NBA? but when i saw them playing against Greece it looks that they were really from NBA but the meaning is... National Boxing Association not National Basketball Association. I think it's time to wipe out the NBA from US and transfer to Greece. What do you think?

The problem is that these punkass ballhogs who are in the NBA now can't hold the jockstraps of the original dream team.

Jordan, Bird, Magic, Barkley, Malone.......there is no comparison.

The turds playing for the US now look more like a wannabe rap posse than a basketball team.

USA did lose to a better team today. They took this tournament for granted just because this is their sport.Yes they created the sport but that doesn't mean that the USA is the only one who knows how to play basketball.USA had to many one on one playing by their players when Greece was playing team basketball. It's like the 2005-06 New York Knicks vs. the 2003-04 Detroit Pistons.USA needs to put a team out there and that doesn't mean that they have to play the best player they got at each position. If I was in charge of making the team it would be like this.

Starting 5
C
Ben Wallace

Pf
Tim Duncan

Sf
Lebron James

SG
Ray Allen

PG
Chauncey Billups

Bench
PF Zach Randolph
PF Jermaine O'Neal
SF Tayshaun Prince
SF Carmello Anthony
G Dwayne Wade
G J.J. Redick
G TJ Ford

yeah we sucked last night. When you can't convert free throws like that in a semi-final game, make sure you make all your other shots. when those shots don't go in, it creates problems. specially when the opponent can shoot at almost 90 percent and is has great team chemistry. The problem was the pick and roll, its tought o gard because everyone on their team can shoot outside of the perimeter. The other players from US kobe, t-mac, kevin garnett those guys don't play. I don't kow why not,i think T-mac was going to have a daughter Kobe wanted to spend time with his family, these guys have committments outside of the game. The team we had this year for Team USA this is actually the first platform they played together, Greece plays w/ this team so of course they know each other well. Wait when the exprinced ballers come to the crt. who in the wrold can gaurd kobe?
garnett is a pimp onthe crt. Oh and add the experience of Mello nd Lebron from ths yr. lets say all these guys play next time were still a force to be reckoned with. Inexperience and age were problems also the problem was team chemistry. But yeah, we don't suck. They had a bad game, next time they play Greece they will win. 9 times out of 10 the Americans can beat Greece.

I would have liked to see the game so I could know exactly what happened, but I have my ideas. I remember seeing the NBA finals in 2003, watching both teams miss shot after shot and thinking they'd never win the 2004 olympics. Sure enough they didn't. I wanted us to win this of course, but I'm not surprised we didn't. We do not have the best team in the world and haven't had the best one for years. Maybe if US players learn how to shoot and stop thinking they can dunk every time they'll do better in 2010.

Congrats Greece, all the best against Spain.

Perhaps, they need to learn how to play team basketball. On top of that, they just lost to the European Champion who played better and deserved the win. I am curious though, if US had lost to Spain or Argentina, will the US fans be this mad (because Greece has no NBA players on the team, but Argentina and Spain do)?

No, don't get rid of the NBA, what would us fans have to watch between Oct-April? But I agree that Greece wooped up on us. It was because they were all too cocky and they didn't respect the other teams. They don't deserve a medal.

I still cannot believe the NBA's attitude, they lost and they just walked out. What is that called? Shame on them. I am very happy they lost and I hope with that attitude they keep losing in future.

would you people get off USA's backs about losing? It happens sometimes, they didn't go in the game Cocky they went in confident and they wanted to take it all the way, but their shooting didn't go the way they wanted it, Carmelo, Wade, and James can't carry the team on their backs every game. so drop it

USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA
and I have to say congrats to Greece they played a good game their offense over powered our defense

if i were an American player, i`ll be so ashamed that i would not come on the streets without a mask, man that is so shameful, NBA players are overrated, if they got pride, they will not go on TV and do that stupid commercials they do, o make any public appearances without saying "i`m sorry, we suck"

we were too cocky, couldn't shoot 3's or from the line. that does teams in at all levels of the game. consistently missing scoring opportunities is going to come back and bite you, especially if you can't lock the other team down
