Seems to me that police and elected public servants are trying to put themselves in a different category then the rest of sociaty by reffering to the general public as civilians. Last I checked aren't our elected public servants who now style them selves as "Offcials" civilains? What are your thoughts on this?

I wholeheartedly agree. Elected and appointed government officials have somewhere, somehow forgotten that they are Public SERVANTS and instead consider themselves public masters.

If you think it's bad now, just let the left-leaning liberals reacquire power. They will establish an affluent elite in power and the rest of us will just have to suck mud.

Police are and aren't civilians, they have a weird standing in the hierarcy of things. You can not use the military to patrol and protect on a daily basis as police do, unless Marshal Law is declared. When they are wearing the badge I believe they are not considered civilians. However, elected officials, besides the President of the USA, are all considered civilians. The Pres. commands the military, hence, Commander in Chief.

it would desire to be the two. If the civilian law enforcement officers arrested him, then the locals have first dibs. many situations the backside will attempt to get jurisdiction from the locals in the event that they decide to court docket martial (extraordinarily in the event that they're leaning in direction of a DD or BCD, that can purely come from a court docket martial conviction). If the community DA would not decide to offer up jurisdiction, they have each top to prosecute below state regulation. After that, the protection tension can nevertheless bypass with UCMJ action in the event that they want, yet they frequently do no longer (that's not double jeopardy because of the fact the state and federal government are separate sovereigns). If the offense became undesirable adequate, the protection tension will frequently attempt to sell off the felon with an administrative discharge and be executed with him.

No... they are your overlords and masters. Defying anything they say means you are a communist, who should be stripped of all rights and be forced to walk around naked with a giant stone attached to your neck on a chain (see Homer Simpson for details). Seriously thought they are POST certified and no longer considered civilians. Except public officials, they are always below us

Actually you can use the military to enforce laws in your state. It's called the National Gaurd (Title 32, section 112, United States Code). The troops you're thinking of is active duty federal troops (Title 10, United States Code), martial law is needed for federal troops.

Yes they are. Civilian means non-military. These guys like to think of themselves as military and have designations like Sergeant in police departments but they are civilians and not necessarily called to active duty.
