the store it belongs to has been closed for a long time & it is 3 miles away. not sure how the cart got in my neighborhood. children playing with it, left it where it was - neighbor told them to not leave it there, they said "you know it's not ours" & left it, he brought it to my yard before i got home. i'm upset but don't want to start a war with my neighbors over ignorance. the city said they can't do anything & won't take it on trash day.
what do i do?
stinky neighbor has a freaking pick up truck & i have a honda civic - he could move it easier than i could!
and no, i dont want to use it to haul things across my yard in

Take it down the street at night and leave it somewhere. Make it someone else's problem. I know thats wrong but if noone is willing to help, thats your only option.

there's a few things you could do:
- abandon it on the side of the road
- abandon it at any store with grocery carts - it could be the cool one that doesn't match anything
- put it back in your neighbor's yard
- take it apart piece by piece and throw the pieces out
- take it to a dump
- hire a neighborhood kid to get rid of it
- be patient and it will end up missing at some point.
I used to live on a busy street in my city, and one day there was a shopping cart on my porch full of old gross newspapers. My boy-friend stuck it down by the street and eventually it disappeared.

LoL at the and no I don't want to use it to haul things across my yard in.. ;D
I'd just leave it there.. push it to the end of your yard as close to the road.. let somebody come by and take it. you could also just give it a BIG PUSH back into your neighbors yard when they arent home!
OR start using it for trash .. :D put it out on your corner on trash day! ;D

Give it to another batch of kids so they can play with it. Make sure you let them know that its a secret rocket ship that will take them far away. Your troubles will be over before you know it.
Or, you can also take it to any other store that has shopping carts. Most likely they will take off the sign of the old store, clean it up and make it theirs. Not a big problem.

Our city refuse company provides 3 free pick-ups a year for bulk items that don't fit in the cans. Give yours a call, maybe they do too. The phone number is on the bill. I also like the idea of moving it to someone elses house, too, like if you go for a walk.

Yes, kids nowadays like to copy-cat those on Jackass and Viva La Bam. I used to be a "cart pusher" and when I saw anyone even looking like they were going to run off with one, oh boy! But my brother, who lives accross from a Target in a college town get people dropping them from top stories to crash below. You can call the store, that's my offer. They handle matters pretty quickly as those things aren't cheap.

Take it apart and put it in a contractor's trash bag and put it out with the regular trash - or put a sign that says free on it and leave it at the curb.
