Allow your students to choose a subject to read about. They will have to present an oral book review. You should set some parameters, of course. It's frightening what some kids can come up with.

Start with something that u enjoy...may even be a magazine then move on to heavier stuff say the newspaper (start with new paper then move on to straites times)... The point is to start with smething that u want to know abt..... Once u start u will be hooked provided u start with what interests u... gd luck on ur new adventure....lots to find and discover!! :)
