Do you believe we're all connected? Why or why not?

The brain is so amazing, and I don't think that everything I think of comes from me, thoughts are out there in the air, floating around for people to grasp with their minds. I think people can send their thoughts to others, to some extent.

There are flocks of birds, schools of little fishies and herds of elk and elephants. Most animals follow a 'group spirit' of some kind. Humans are 'organic life on earth'; we're animals too, but with self consciousness. Well, at least SOME of us! We flock together in traffic, watching TV en mass, gather in huge football stadiums and here. There is much more going on here than we can see, feel or understand.

Is there really a Freudian super consciousness, a kind of group spirit? Sometimes we have an awareness , a connection with each other that is just astounding. Do we meet together in our dreams? Some of us even believe we all wind up in the Christian belief in heaven or hell.

And are we not all connected in higher ways 'we know not of' whether we believe it or not?

We only use 2 or 3% of our brain, however, our brains have evolved. As we learn to use the outer cortex more and the limbic brain (fight or flight, emotions) less, we will have fewer limits, (generating new thoughts rather than responding from emotional patterning). However, our interconnectedness does not have anything to do with our brains, per se. Consciousness happens through the mind but is not of it. Quantum physics has borne out the idea that space, (matter, energy) has intelligence and that we are part of it, that thoughts are things and that there is no such thing as coincidence. All things happen for a reason.

In a way I would agree, birthday girl! I mean like some people can just look at each other and telepathetically send messages or what not, you know how people say, "Do you know what I'm thinking?" Some people really do. For instance, twins. Twins think alike because they were in the same belly for the germination period and you know, they think about the same things so therefore I would agree sometimes we send messages with our brain. Also, that's why teachers hint us some ideas whenever we have a test because we know our mind would stimulate that idea to something else that would be helpful. I don't know what I'm talking about. That's an interesting thought. Yes, we may be connected somehow. Sometimes we can guess each others thoughts, if we are close enough.

We are also connected because of cultural backgound, family, friends etc. and that makes it sometimes amazing to notice that you had the same thought at the same time.

As I probably don't know you at all, so it isn't likely that you and I are connected, but I can't 100% rule out that something you do will influence my life :)

Based on Religion: we all came from Adam and Eve so therefore, we're all connected.

You make use of your imagination so well. I like the thought, too, but so far, communication has been the most effective means of sending our thoughts to others. But others would suggest mental telepathy, too.

Yes, I think we're all connected, because there's evidence in my own life. We connect to other minds when we are awake and also in our dreams.

I definitely agree! Even in dreams I feel that my friends communicate with me, especially if you have a deep connection with them.
