It depends on the cause of the Depression. Depression is nothing to mess around with. If you feel depressed and haven't got any idea what is causing it, or if it has been getting worse, or its duration has extended several weeks. I think I would tell you to see a good doctor As Soon As Possible (ASAP) I don't think you had better try to cure yourself, your patient may get worse and the treatment more difficult.

there are twoo distinct types of depression and they should be treated in different ways...

depression can be caused by a lack of certain natural chemicals in the brain.... in this case then medication is required to rebalance the chemicals in the brain....

depression can be caused by very depressive circumstances or events or a series of events... if depression is caused by exterior things then chemicals can actually do more ham than good ... so counselling and therapy along wtih somelifestyle changes are necessary.

somenatural ways to recover from depression

create a routine that includes walking outdoors each day
eat a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables
drink more water
follow a creative pursuit
attend counselling
visit one or more friends each week

Depends if you have lack of the chemical dopamine in the brain. Ifyou are upset about something or your life then try working out or find a hobby that suits you.

Time - therapy - medication
Been doing all three myself for the past 11/2 years, and I'm a new person. PLUS you need to have a relationship with God, make the therapist a Christian Therapist

Depression is a choice. We tend to believe we are depressed due to circumstances or others, but in reality, it is simply a "choice" we choose to feel. Depression is one of the forms that fear takes, and stems from feelings of loss. If we choose to trust in fear's guidance, it will be more than glad to give you as many reasons as you need to remain depressed.

However, being a choice, you have the power to simply choose differently. It is as easy, or as hard, as you want to believe it to be. Whether you choose in favor of remaining depressed, or in favor of not remaining depressed; isn't as important, as is the "realization" that you have now consciously "made that choice"; a choice you may not have previously realized is a choice. How you then feel in the immediate and/or distant future, can then be realized to have stemmed from that choice, instead of outside factors.

Hunny, everything began with Power of The Mind. For those of you who have not heard of Napoleon Hill he was one of the early teachers of the power of the mind. The basic principle is that whatever your mind can imagine it can create. How does it do this? What your mind thinks, sees, believes, feels is all sent to your subconscious mind power. it's great partner. Your Subconscious then works with the universe and creates your reality based on the messages that began in your mind. But its not enough to simply imagine it and then hope it happens. That's not the way it works. If you can imagine it you can achieve it but you need to know how to use the power of your mind. Your mind can create wonderful things for you if you know how to use it and how to send the right messages to your subconscious. Most people don't know how to do this. Instead, you go through life never really using the power of your mind.

Did you know that doctors now firmly believe that 75% of all sickness and disease start in the mind? 75-Percent! That's a very large amount. That means that 75% of all the people who are sick today -- are only sick because they did not know how to use their mind. Doctors will even tell you that most sickness and disease are caused by stress. This is another event that starts in the mind. Scientists have long said that we only use 10% of our mind. 10-percent that's it. Think of going through life only spending 10-percent of your salary? Could you do it? No! Yet you go through life only using 10% of your mind. That 10-percent is creating 75% of all sickness because we don't even know how to use it properly. Now imagine if you just used 10% of our mind correctly? What would happen? What would happen if we learned to use 90% of our mind correctly? The results would be astounding! Your mind is an incredible power but no one ever taught you how to use this power. Throughout your entire life you've been taught how to do everything but no one ever taught you how to use your mind. Creating Power teaches you how to use your the power of your mind. I'm not saying that if you work with the Creating Power System you'll start using all of your mind correctly. But I do know that you'll begin using the power of your mind to its full potential and that is enough to create the change you want. Would you drive a car if you didn't know how to drive? No. You would have someone teach you. Why then would you try to use the power of your mind when you don't know how? Yet you do it everyday and you get the results that you don't want. If you want to change your life. If you want to use your mind correctly and utilize all its power then you need the Creating Power System. And it's completely Guaranteed!

I had have a severe depression for 10 years. Partial schizophrenia, bipolar, living with pain...Taking 7 types of different anti-depression medication, Pain killers, sometimes more. Etc… No to mention Hospitalized many times for attempts of suicide. Expensive medication that I couldn’t afford...

Just remember one thing. Medication in today’s culture is set by people who want to sell them. “Is not like in old days “Dr’s get a kick back from them, also medication can make you even more depress if you take too much or the wrong kind. It can affect you and many different ways.

Be around people that love you and care for you, around positive people. And Laugh a lot, I BIT DEPRESION A year ago. By reading this book and by reading about my condition. And put my mind in order and switch the negative thought into positive. IT WORKS!!! And don't let anyone tell you that you need meds, like happened to me in the past. Meds was making me sick and wanting more, when the reality I never need them.

You can do it, because I did it. I am Free of Medication and BIG Worries.

Remember... Creating Power System, Create Power.

Best.

through medication, finding new meaning in life through a religion, taking food that cheers a person up (I heard chocolates or bananas are some examples), picking up a healthy lifestyle to channel all that negative emotions away like yoga or jogging, hypnotherapy or seek a counsellor who'd give appropriate advice, teaching the depressed person to widen his/her social circle and get to know others who have overcome similar unfortunate circumstances.

Therapy, family, friends, and hobbies. Drugs are a short term pick me up that helps get things started but should not be viewed as the answer.

In other words, quit obsessing over it, and go live your life.
