It's too quiet around here.
I cooked scrambled eggs, for the DOG.
I am prone to tears at the slightest things...
I cry at the sight of a child, even on a TV commercial.
A couple of my friends have changed their personas.
Even my favorite cat is gone.

I play music, I quilt, I have a grandson, I have cats and a dog...maybe if my grownup kids would contact me I wouldn't be feeling so bad.

What will i do with myself. House is wayyyy toooo quiet. We need 2 get out of the house my world was revolved around school, homework football, running from friends house to house being taxi mom, now I have 2 wonderful kids but the worst thing is lettin go.

I hear you - I don't have official empty nest syndrome yet but I feel like I do because my daughter never wants to spend time with me - she's super independent and always wants to be w/ her friends. Time has slipped by so quickly and I sometimes cry to think that I have only 4-5 short more years before she's gone away to college:(

yes, and is it not the worst feeling of being deserted, like you, was so depressed and at the same time mad at myself, Then I started finding my own hobbies, got involved with that, then was told "I" was going to be a GRANDMA- my whole life has changed again, its been a year, and that baby has changed my whole world, I wish you well , maybe try to learn quilting, paint or do volunteer work at daycare hospital or nursing home, open your heart to others and you will be blessed beyond your dreams
