Yesterday I had posted a question about how to get the annoying blinking things of the bottom right of my computer. After I did a full scan of my computer and it removed the Trojan Spyware or whatever it was, my Internet Explorer window keeps popping up with advertisements to porn sites and online casinos. I don't even use internet explorers browser, I use AOL's!! Can someone help me figure out how to stop them? Should I just take Internet explorer of my computer or do I need it on there? Please help!!

You did not tell us what you ran yesterday to try to clean the PC, so sorry if I duplicate...
Check for spyware. Run both Ad-aware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/) and Skybot (http://www.safer-networking.org/) to remove any spyware. Run both as one may caught something the other missing. Then go to microsoft.com and download Defender to protect against future infections.

Run the msconfig utility. Go to Start, then Run and type in: msconfig
Go to the startup tab
You will see a list of all the programs that are loaded when your computer starts up.
Whatever is causing the popup is most likely being loaded here.
Uncheck everything that is in there.
(Often you can guess what the item loads by looking at the file name and what directory it is in)
If you have problems with a program and decide you to need to turn back on any of those items, you can go back and recheck it.

If you are still getting excessive popups, your computer is still infected. Here is one procedure to clean it fully for free:

1. Scan for virus and remove (free online scan) with BitDefender

http://www.bitdefender.com/site/home/

2. Scan for trojans and remove (free online scan) with Ewido

http://www.ewido.net/en/

3. Scan for ad/spyware and remove (free download) with Spybot Search & Destroy

http://www.safer-networking.org/en/spybotsd/index.html

Do not attempt to remove Internet Explorer!
The AOL browser is in reality just a "skin" that runs on top of the IE Browser, removing IE will render your AOL and perhaps your entire computer inoperable.
