Anyone who thinks Ronny Cedeno sucks is an idiot. The kid will be an All-Star very soon and will be for many years to come. What he needs is a better manager than Dusty Baker (who has previously ruined such promising youngsters as Corey Patterson and Hee Sop Choi). Dusty does not manage youngsters well so the Cubs need someone who does (Joe Girardi!) not only for the good of Cedeno but Matt Murton, Ryan Theriot, Rich Hill, Sean Marshall, and all the other young promising Cubs.

As a Cubs fan, I can assure you, he's got some potential. He's a rookie, so he needs some time. I'm sure he'll improve his defense (most of his errors are fielding, not throwing) and contact at the plate in the offseason. He "sucks" compared to other shortstops in the league statistically. The only reason is that there's alot of pressure on him to step up with all the Cubs star players out this season, Prior, Wood, Lee for a significant time, and a boatful of other players. I remember during the 2004 Arizona Fall League, the scouts were saying he would swing at the rosin bag. So he's improved from then, so there's good reason to believe he'll improve from now.

I'm not sure what more time would do for him. He does have alot of potential, but he just makes too many errors, and sucks at the plate. But Dusty still continues to play him everyday.....why?

I think they should make him live at David Ortiz's house over the off-season.

But he'll weigh 230 lbs when he comes back after all the juice he gets from the Cookie Monster.

He'll probably have to play 1B... or get moved to the AL to DH.
