Ive been using E-Bay for over a year and have never had any problems. In fact I have been refunded by Pay Pal on a couple of occasions for auctions I have bought on but never received. Pay Pal is the safest way to pay as you have no security is you pay by postal order or cash. Pay Pal is a secure site.

Ive bought loads of stuff off ebay and paypal is defo the safest way to pay you can get a refund up to £500 if you dont receive goods. never had any problems with money going missing out my bank or anything like that but they can take up 2 a week to take the money out of your account so right down everything you buy and the amount so you know when its gone out of your account. hope that helps :)

I was reluctant at first, but with paypal you are as safe as can be providing you keep your password safe. You can keep check on paypal account through paypal itself, when you win or purchase anything through paypal you receive the details via email. Paypal can also be used when purchasing other items from other sites. It is safer than sending cheques through the post with your bank details on, the other party never see your bank details they are kept by paypal

never had any problems using paypal but be wary of fake paypal emails asking you to enter security details, my daughter had an email ( which was full of spelling mistakes) asking for details but she hasn't got an account anyway. If your careful paypal is a good quick way of dealing on ebay.

Ebay doesn't need that info. PAYPAL does.
(paypal is an option for paying and receiving payment that ebay uses. But alot of people just use money orders, no bank info needed at all.)

Its safe - unless you get a keystroke logger that records what you are typing...
If you're going to go on E-bay or PayPal then learn how to make your pc secure. Heres a list of useful free software, use a firewall, an anti virus, an anti trojan and an anti adware. Try to use Firefox, if you use Internet Explorer then switch off Active X. Connect to the net via a limited account, not an administrators account.
The Windows firewall doesn't stop malware on your pc from dialling out. Either of these firewalls are free for personal use and stop unwanted incoming and outgoing traffic. You choose which programs are allowed to access the internet. They are both fairly easy to use and updated regularly.

Instal both these web browsers, turn off javascript on one and use that browser for vising unknown websites. They don't support Active X so thats one less way for problems to get on your pc.
Winpatrol is a handy utility that tracks cookies on your pc and stops unwanted changes to your startup folder.

Spywareblaster works with Internet Explorer and Firefox. It won't uninstall spyware that is already on your pc, but it will prevent hijacks and other malicious changes to your browser.

Please don't join. I am a seasoned ebayer with over 260 transactions as buyer and seller, but I was recently scammed andit is now going to cost me £260.00. I sold an MP3 player to someone and it turns out that I was selling it to someone who had hijacked some other ebayer's account and stolen their credit card details. Anyway Paypal paid back the non-fraudulent guy his money then came to me for the £260 PLUS I have lost my goods. I do not believe that EBAY's accounts are safe and have closed my account as a consequence...
btw... YOU DO NEED TO PLACE A CREDIT CARD ON FILE WITH EBAY... source.. my brother asked me to open up an account for him yesterday [I told him not to!] but then when we were filling out the details it came to this page which said add card details so we left it!

Ebay = sell and buy things by bidding on them.
Internet Security is decent as long as you only give your information to companies you trust.
As safe as you can get on the internet = ebay.
