Ok, I suck at math, I admit it, I don't like it and don't want to be good at it lol, I'd love it if anyone could give me answers(I'm not going to BS anyone this is what I would really like) or atleast help me out with these problems thanks: *I don't know how to the squared symbol on the computer so I just wrote it out.*
1.) x[squared]-5x-24
2.) 3x[squared]+11x+10
3.) 4x[squared]+7x-2
4.) 16y[squared]=25
5.) x[squared]-5x+6=0
6.) 2x[squared]-9x-5=0
7.) 3x[squared]+5x-2=0
and this problem, I drew it up on the computer so it would be easier: http://img105.imageshack.us/my.php?image=mathproblemnn0.jpg

1 is 8, -3
2 is -5/3, -2
3 is 1/4,-2
4 is 5/4,-5/4
5 is 1,-6
6 is -1/2, 5
7 is 1/3, -2
use reverse foil method (quardatic formula) then foil to check answers
those are the answers but use others suggestions to help work out the problems so you can learn to do them on your own

thats a whole school assingment
i aint doin the whole thing
1)x ^2-5x-24
=x^2-8x+3x-24
x(x-8)+3(x-8)
thats (x+3)(x-8)
ohk the key here ito take the last number
factorise it as in 24=2*2*2*3
using the above numbers make two numbers which add or subtract to form the number in the middle i mean the one in the equation
and then write it as an equation
then take x common in the first part and a number common in the next one
and then write the factors
i tried my best to wxplain i hope u got it
and will do the rest on ur own

x(squared)-5x-24
First find out what out what to factors of -24 equal -5. In this case it's 3, -8. Next take the square root of the first number, which is x, and form two equations. so it'd end up being (1x+3)(1x+-8) Just follow that formula for the next six and you'll be fine.

All of these probalems can be rewritten in the form:
a*x^2 + b*x + c = 0
(the "^" means to the power of).
Now that you have it in this form, you can solve for the two possible answers using the Quadratic Formula. Just pluc a, b and c into the formula, and you have your answers. Memorize the formula.
The link below will not only give you the formula -- it explains where it came from.

If you just want answers get a calculator. They all can figure these out. The first one is 8, -3
By the way you can use ^ to represent what power it is.
Don't listen to: Deadite
"Use the formula Y=MX+B.
It might not make sense, but it will get you the anwer. "
That's only the equation for a line not a quadratic!

You have to factorise it. You have to learn it first. It bascially look like this : (x+a number) times ( X+ a number).
