If you're emancipated, you are legally 18 and responsible for your own well being. You will NOT get 1/3 of your parent's money - nice try. And us working taxpayers will not be forced to support you either.
You want independence, get a job and support yourself. You want to be taken care of, shut up and do what your parents say.

No the child gets no money from thier parents, The child is saying when they request emancipation that they are grown and no longer need thier parents.
To even be considered for emancipation the child will have to already have a job and be earning enough money to live on thier own.

I was emancipated and I got no help from my parents, my gma was nice enough to let me stay with her and clean her house for the rent. When a child decides to get emancipated, that means that they usually don't want any help from the parents, parents don't pay 1/3 of their check to the child when they turn 18, and this is basically the same thing. None of the parent's checks go to the child unless they want it to. If the child wants help from the government they will have to go through FIA (family independence agency) and they won't always help. The child in most cases will have to have a job in order to get emancipated anyway.

Sorry the answer to both questions is no. The child gets nothing from the parents and the goverment is not obligated (in the USA) to pay the child anything. The child is considered by the goverment to be 18 years old and on their own.

If the child is snatched or taken away from the parents by a social agency to protect the child, then the parents have to share the burden towards raising the child. If the parents are so poor and unable to do that, then the State would help.
But if the child left on own sweet will.and does not listen to parents while depandent on them , parents do not bear any responsibility.

Emancipate means to release from parental care and responsibility and be sui juris or having full legal rights as an adult. That means providing for yourself and not expecting help from anyone but yourself.

That child will have to get a job, or have someone else provide the money. The parents are no longer legally obligated to give that kid anything.
