A signature for e-mails can be either formal or informal. It depends on who you send your e-mails to. Plus, the more original it is, the more the recipient will remember you and write back.
You can scan your own signature, as it was said.
You can also design, either on your computer or on a piece of paper than you scan, your name and contact info with a drawing or a picture as a background or next to it.
I would advise that you make sure your signature contains your name, or at least your screen name/nick name if it is an informal one, your e-mail, or other information which may be useful for the usual and frequent recipients of your mails. For instance, I put my name, e-mail, IM info and weblog address for an informal address, and I put my full name, e-mail, IM info, phone number and website address for a formal one.
If it is informal, you can also add a famous quotation or a phrase (a "title") that describes you well. For instance, I like astronomy and I have a job in this field, so my "title" is "Unpaid astronaut" - from a NASA poem.
You see, there are plenty of ways to make a good signature.
You can use ------ or ~~~~~~~ to separate your signature for the main text.
If you use a signature containing your name, you do not have to write your name at the end of your e-mails.

You can always actually sign a piece of paper, then scan it in, and put the pic as your signature.
