Prepare a bucket of warm water.
Have something like a squiffy or squeez-gee. Put a half lenght of washing-up liquid on it.
Wipe off with a rubber blade.
Clean with rags.
Some people swear by malt vingear or newpapers(the ink is good for the window)

Wash the windows down with ammonia first. Then wash with Windex and lint free paper towels like Scott.

I have the same problem. I've discovered it is better to use the aerosol can spray of glass cleaner and shop towels instead of paper towels. Still no matter how hard I try it never looks great. But, amazingly if my husband does it looks great. Go figure.

This may sound crazy, but use old newspapers..... after you have washed the windows, give them a going over with the newspapers, it really works. Its something to do with the newspaper print i think.

vinegar and coffee filters lint free and no ink to get everywhere or you can use unprinted newspaper the local papers will give it to you free most of the time.

Lemon juice and water, clean with a newspaper, works better than cotton cloth.
