Does anyone know of any really good fan based conventions (non-Creation) going on the the middle of the U.S.? If so, where, when, websites..?

Didn't find much on dragoncon.....any other useful info is most appreciated.

I am soon to be 42. I remember the original series. The story lines are stuck in my head. I can still see the episode in my mind. That is all. I am not a trekie. I do not have any memorabilia. I didn't really watch Next Generation or the others but I did watch some of Enterprise. In my memory the original is stored along with Gunsmoke, The Brady Bunch, Gilligans Island, and Hogan Heroes
