I just moved to Layton UT which is only about 15 min outside of SLC, from Ca and let me tell you....I AM FREAKING OUT!!!!!! I don't know where you live now but my best advice is to come and visit for at least a week if possible. This is NOT what I thought it would be. Good luck

It is in a valley surrounded by high mountains. Therefore the winters have snow (it WAS the home of the winter Olympics). The summers are hot and dry. To give you an example, it got into the low 100s this past July but it was no worse than GA in the 90s with humidity. Depending on where you are moving from, it could be fairly normal for you (ie, the north, the midwest) or it could be a new experience (ie GA, SC, CA). The best place to look for averages is www.weather.com and type in Salt Lake City.

Park city is very marvelous, and companies that thrive there usually cater to skiers and vacationers. in my opinion Salt Lake lacks previous due-night innovations and fairly good places which would be modern-day in Park city, like whiskey bars. no count if it fairly is eating places or shops, not something seems to be like open after 9 on weekdays. case in point, it fairly is almost impossible to discover a food market or save that contains grocery products it is open previous hour of darkness. you could bypass to a bar to dangle out, yet each and every each and every now and then that in simple terms does not decrease it. I moved right here from Chicago and it appeared like they had many extra innovations for previous due night nutrition, etc.

Yea, its beautiful there. I live close to there. Its big, lots of ppl, lots of different races. Very religious place, full of mormons. Nice place tho, lots to offer, but wouldnt reccommend the school system. There are gang problems.

Its gonna get COLD in the winter. Lots of snow, lots of skiing tho!

The summers are very hot and humid.
