Popular but sucky - things that come to mind.

John Lennon - Was terrrible without McCartney. In fact McCartney was better on his own.

Pot - Tried it and thought the experience was nerve wrackingly aweful.

SUVs - Get a truck or a mini-van please. Why waste your money on what is nothing more than a big car.

RVing- Loved sleeping in a box that rocks every time you move - just get me a hotel room.

The Kennedy space center - Rude cops - high prices.

Thai food - sweet and hot : a recipe for puke.

Televised pro sports - a cure for insomnia.

Being in business for yourself - Despite popular opinion - you struggle - worry - pay taxes and fees - work long hours - deal with ungratefull employees and customers - and don't neccessarily get rich

The economy - It's what??? doing well?

Ambien - Great if you like blackouts.

Those are mine - what are yours?

Let it go Brad. Get some rest. You're right it is "Emperor" I was typing fast.

Craig, the emperor's new clothes was about how most people go along with the crowd rather than speak out about the obvious. I think that has some application to the question.

They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery so if your friend buys the same clothes as you that says quite a lot don't you think? If your mom can wear your clothes you must be a similar size so you're certainly slim if she is. You're not selfish and your mom seems unable to help or understand you. You obviously have real issues with self-esteem and, maybe, need some counselling.

The most obvious example is "whichever song is at #1 right now" 99 times out of100, #1s suck.

I don't think "The Emperors New Clothes" was actually about things which are popular but sucky, but that doesn't affect the question.

The word is 'emperor'.
In response to your delusions about 9/11, you say I should be objective about all the evidence at hand.
I am always objective. About matters based in reality.
