A 50 dollar check isn't worth 50 dollars any more because they attach a check cashing fee...OH AND DON'T GET BEHIND ONE OF THESE SLOW AS MOLASSAS CHECK WRITERS. NOT SMART ENOUGHT TO FILL IT ALL IN WHILST INSTEAD THEY WERE READING A TABLOID ABOUT ELVIS AND HIS UFO EXPIERIENCE

Um, no, a check is a legally binding promise to pay the money from your bank account. But I agree, it's annoying to be in line behind someone writing a check. Get a debit card for chrissakes!
