Its a proven fact that excercise, like walking, helps to minimize cramps. When I am on my period, I just run or walk the treadmill for about an hour a day. As for medicine that helps relieve cramps, I use pamprin. It has no caffeine and it helps with cramps and headaches! Not so much bloating though

Hi, yeah it's ok to work out during your period, but I would stop if your having too bad of cramps. Just make sure that you wear double the padding, because excersize makes your blood flow faster, so you might have to stop inbetween excersizes to put on another pad. And with the cramps, i find using hot pads, and hot waterboddles works to relieve the pain from cramps, without going the medicial route.

When you are having your period you need to take life a bit easier on the heavy days at least. Go for a stroll instead of a heavy workout. I have found that Ibuprofen (like Advil) works well for my cramps as does a hot water bottle or heating pad.

You can exercise whenever you feel up to it, period or not. I know cause I do it all the time and I find exercise keeps my cramping minimized most months. There are lots of products, but I just use plain ol advil for any discomfort and exercise as well as drink lots of water. So far, so good for me.

I have always found that it helps my cramps if I am exercising. Although the pain is sometimes too much to start. Also make sure you take any pain relief before the cramping starts this will stop the pain rising to its peak. Hope you don't suffer too much!

Exercise away, it is very good for you anytime. It also may help with the cramps. Most cramps are caused from blood clots while menstruating. If you are not allergic to it try some aspirin, it thins the blood and prevents clots.

You can have moderate exercise during your period. To decrease cramps, sit inside a bath tub and fill it with warm water (to your tolerance) up to your waist. This "natural method" has helped a lot of women! Best wishes.
