Thats a tough choice. I really enjoyed being a carefree kid. If I ever had a problem, I would dream I could fly straight up and get away from anything. One day I stopped dreaming that anymore. I don't know the exact time, but I guess I was starting to grow up. I wish I could dream that again. It always made me feel really wonderful. Being grown sometimes gives me anxiety nightmares.

There both so different. When your a kid you don't think or care about anything or anyone. Well at less in an important way. When your a grown-up you can party, drink and do whatever you want but then you have to deal with the consequences of that. Anyways being an adult has more responsibilities than being a kid. They both have good and bad things.

While it was more fun to be a carefree kid, it's not practical to stay that way .We all grow up and life teaches us so that we may teach others and one day we will all love each other which will allow us to be carefree again.

During my childhood, whenever things weren't going well for me (which was often enough) some misguided adult would tell me to enjoy myself because those were the best years of my life, since I didn't have to pay bills. Now that I am an adult, I can see that this is terrible advice. Being an adult with no rules to follow and being able to make your own decisions and choose your own path beats the crap out of having to go to school with other people's discipline problems, following random rules made up by people who sometimes don't even know you, and seeing this great big world out there, but not being able to enjoy most of it. The only thing that could make "paying bills" so bad that it's worse than childhood, would be if some huge convict climbed out of the ComEd envelope and forcibly sodomized you every month.

When you're a kid you think that being grown up will be the coolest thing, but once you're grown up and you learn the reality of things, you wish you were a carefree child again. Sucks, doesn't it?

It's a question of who has more freedom. A kid has freedom from financial responsibility, but does not have the freedom to make all of his his/her own decisions. But, a kid doesn't know what he/she doesn't know, so I would have to say a carefree kid has more fun.
