As the world population grows and becomes more civilized it seems to require more meat to keep everybody fed. Then there is the drought, deserts, forest fires, hurricanes, tsunami, mudslides, and earthquakes that reduce farmland ( thus crops) which are needed to provision every country. There is some reduction in mankind census by War and diseases and fatal driver incidence. When do you feel the vermin will take over?

Much of the world population grows but that doesn't neccesarily mean it becomes more civilized. It does become more civilized in the 1st world, but here in the 3rd world (as people in the first world call it) doesn't neccesarily is a true statement. Here in Colombia we don't have tsunamis, nor hurricanes, nor forest fires, nor significant mud slides or earthquakes. We have an Imperialist country called the US the obligates us to spray glifosatus to kill coca leaves and destroying our land in the making. I you refer to vermin to mankind, I strongly feel connected with your question. Our rate of destruction is each time growing faster. Whenever I jog and I pass by a new construction site (which nowdays is common even in Colombia) I see dead snakes, iguanas and similar. I get pissed off and think of the huge damage done to our ecosystem. Yesterday on a flight to Bogota, I saw all the huge huge land left untouched and felt a little bit better. I think vermin will take long to destroy earth, but we sure are on our way.

What leads you to believe the vermin will take over? Kind of a silly question, don't you think?

Are you wondering when the end of civilized life will be? Or the beginning of some new form of dominant creature?

It will end when mankind decides to no longer innovate. When the natural response to survive has been conditioned out, the "vermin" may have a chance.

Not in my lifetime.
