Seventeen is probably a tough age to find things to do outside of theme parks. If you like to shop, then you might want to head to the Orlando Premium Outlets or the Mall at Millenia. Both Downtown Disney and Universal CityWalk have a good mix of shopping, dining, and entertainment. In general, both are good places to just hang out and stroll around, even if you are too young to get into the clubs. There are some clubs at Disney's Pleasure Island (at Downtown Disney) that I think you can get into without being 21 if you are with a parent. But I can't imagine that would be all that much fun - hanging out at a club with your parents. Could be if you have cool parents though. If you like games, DisneyQuest (also at Downtown Disney) is pretty fun.

Wow... I can't believe that someone said it is boring! I love Orlando! Disneyworld is of course the main attractions and so much fun... for kids, teens and big kids... :)
But Florida has some of the most amazing beaches too! Talk to your parents about getting a rental car and drive to either Cocoa Beach on the East shore or south to Sarasota where you'll find Siesta Key Beach -- listed on Travel Channel as Florida's #2 beach for its pure white baby powder soft sand. It's gorgeous there!
Visit Kennedy Space Center near Cocoa Beach, check out Downtown Disney's Marketplace or Universal Studio's City Walk. Disney's Pleasure Island is a lot of fun, but you'll need your parents to get you in there since you're under 18.

Look in any directory and you will find a lot of out of the way attractions that do not advertise as much as Disney World. There is a lovely little place not too far away from Disney called Splendid China. It is the history, culture and architecture of China all in miniature. You could also go to all the time share demos. If you can say no, then you can make enough to practically pay for your vacation. I made over $200 in time share demos the last time I went there.

There is Universal Studios Islands of Adventure, CityWalk, Animal Kingdom, MGM, Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Downtown Disney, Blizzerd Beach, Hurricaine Harbor, Shopping, Sea World, and mini golfing. Thats most of it. I think you should go to Universal Studios but if you do don't go on Jaws. It has such a long wait and the ride is pretty lame.

There are a lot of smaller amusement venues. There is good high-end shopping. Check the Orlando City websites to see if there any plays or live shows that you may be interested in.

I will suggest outside Universal Studios. There is a ton of places you can hang out. From the typical Hard Rock to bars, dine places, movies, discos, etc.
Pleasure island is also cool and it is not a park.
Bush Gardens? And there is a palce where you can swim with dolphins. COOOL!

Nothing much. It's basically a pretty boring place. I'd hate to be stuck there for a night. Probably just go to McDonalds and get a Big Mac and fries and hang out at the hotel and watch T.V. until I fell asleep.
