We spend too much time looking at which candidate we like rather than the most qualified for the job. There will be no one that will fulfill all our needs. I find myself a conservative with liberal tendencies. So i never see anyone that seems to embody all the things important to me, except the ones that never want to run because they end up being run by party politics.
Voting is not overrated, we need to pick our candidates based on issues not sound-bites, or who the media thinks we should vote for. Especially since your vote is your only voice in how our country is run.

Voting is a hard-won right, and more than that, I think it is our duty. I think that it's important that everyone make informed choices and vote. If you don't know who to vote for, read up on their platforms and make a decision from there.

I can respect someone voting differently than I do, even though I disagree with them. I can't respect a person who doesn't vote at all.

Remember-if you don't vote, your opinion doesn't matter.

We just get to vote every 4 years for whatever candidate the corporations have decided to let us vote for.
Waste of time.

Is having the ability to ask that question in this forum overrated? Think about it.

No it is not. You sound apathetic. Not pathetic. Apathetic. If you think it is, look at how many Iraqi's turned out to vote.
