Depends on how long and how well you plan to live, I guess. It's that realization that options are closing, you're not going to live forever, and you don't have all the time left in the world to make a contribution. Some people come to this realization when they are as young as 20--some never do, sadly enough. I had my crisis when I was about 27 and I still get them off and on.

So, go ahead and analyze your life. I think people should be having this kind of crisis every day.

Oh about 45 I guess I'm technically over the hill but am picking up lots of steam! Why create a crisis? Just do the best with what you've got. Life is short.

lol! Love the question!

I think it is anytime you come to the realization that you have not done all the things you wanted to do in life and feel like your options and opportunities are getting less due to time left, demands of your responsibilities to others and physical aging. Changing your belief patterns about aging and the "weight" of responsibilities in general can eliminate the crisis entirely! You are as young as you feel!

well I've only truly been alive for a few over 2 years, so at 51 I've an infant. No crisis necessary. No my now ex certainly had one BIGTIME at 45.

Good question. I'm certainly old enough I suppose, but I've never felt old enough to really admit to myself or anyone else that I was in a "crisis" situation.

I thought it was 40....I don't mind it and I'm not in any crisis either. If anything, life gets better with age and wisdom.
