I think they're still watching cartoons..but some kids sleep in!

I watch Flight 29 Down, but that's not a cartoon... I've got about 5 channels besides the ones that show kids shows all day that show stuff on Saturday morning.... Personally, I prefer sleeping in.
It really depends on which channels you're looking at...

I totally agree. I remember watching real cartoons from 5:00 to whenever it was time to go play on Saturdays. Now they have the computer graphic junk out there. I remember anywhere for The Jackson 5, Ruff and Ready, Mr T, Bugz,.....those were all that!
I also remember the train on The Cartoon Express. I needed this question. It truly took me back down memory lane...

I agree! And the cartoons that ARE available all have social acceptance lessons or some crap like that. Whatever happened to a mouse hitting a cat over the head with a frying pan??? Now THAT was fun television...

I watch cartoons with my son on Disney and Noggin, and they aren't too bad. Dora, Diego, Little Einsteins, Wiggles....But I really miss the stuff I grew up with!!!!
But I watched Pee Wee's Playhouse, Picture Pages, Fraggle Rock, Patches & Pockets, Sesame Street, The Jetsons, Muppets Babies, Rainbow Bright, Care Bears, Smurfs, Tom & Jerry, Scooby Doo, He Man, She Ra, Looney Toones....cool things like that.
Most stuff these days stink!!

I agree. They used to have to pry me away from the television because there were cartoons after cartoons. Now, too much infomercials and news programs.

I know what you mean. I used to make it a point to get up early on Sat. just to watch cartoons! The stuff on now, it's ridiculous. My kids either go to nick, or the cartoon network. They still show the good ones!

Wow that is sooo true. Cartoon shows for us then were great. Today I can't stand it. I don't want my kids watching half of it. But they have revised some of the things we watched coming up. It is not the same. It's horrible. I totally agree with you.

Good question. Whatever happened to quality tv? The days when you WANTED to get up at the crack of dawn so that you could watch all the great cartoons? There's no more good cartoons anymore. I'm a 24 year old kid, and when I was growing up there was THUNDERCATS, GI JOE, TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES, LOONEY TUNES, WOODY WOOD PECKER, FAT ALBERT, FELIX THE CAT, ANIMANIACS, GUMBY, TALES FROM THE CRYPT...man, those were the good old days (sniff, sniff)

They are watching crap. I wake up with them and watch cartoons and find myself looking around at other stuff instead of being entertained.
Some of this stuff is Shite!
I loved the Smurfs, Tom n Jerry, Road runner...not it's some puffy yumi something or another. Sheesh...
may I suggest you get TVland and cartoon network? saved my sanity...
