Not France's fault. Not Bush's fault. Not Jefferson's fault.
However, in response to the person who was asking about getting money from other countries...
They saw the hurricane coming... It was not like the Tsunami where there was no warning what-so-ever.

Actually, when the U.S. purchased New Orleans from France in 1803, most if not all of the city was above sea level. Two centuries of buildings and an attempt to keep the Mississippi River from its normal flooding pattern pushed the city to below see level. True, this might have happen regardless of who owned the city, but given that New Orleans is the gateway port to around one-half of the country's river drainage and hence transportation of commerce from the agricultural heartland, I still think that it is still worth the cause.
And you're right. Blaming the President for Hurricane Katrina makes no sense at all, and I tend to be opposed to the President's policies in many significant cases. If anything, blame Pat Robertson for not diverting Katrina. :-)

You make a good point! Certainly! He's not responsible for the disaster occuring, but Bush's responsibilities are that he could have acted quicker! He honestly didn't seem very concernd about thousands of innocent Americans.

youre right, its the citites fault, they were cheap and bought only level 3 levy's instead of level 5, which wouldnt have broken. But we should blame france for everything. i also would like to know why the entire world didnt give us billions of dollars like they did to southeast asia after the tsunami.

What the point?
The morons would still find a way to blame it on Bush.
Don't you know that everything that happens in the world is his fault? Don't you pay attention to the news?

it wasn't France who made certain his buddies could conduct another massive land-grab from hard working Americans both young and retired.
Bush did that.
