Because of the combination of the ingredients of the toothpaste that dry out pimples.

cause it dries the pimples up but theres another none sticky way to get rid of pimples use neutrogena oil free acne wash it dries up the pimples and cleans deep down to the pores also keeping your face smooth and fresh for the rest of the day (dunt use it if you have sensitive skin)

because it dries out the pimple, though i would have to say that it is better to use an acne medicine (example:Clean and Clear acne clearing treatment gel) to dry out the pimples rather then toothpaste, because you get the same results but the medicine is better for your skin in the long run

The abrasive ingredients in toothpaste work well on acne.
Did you know that you can make your teeth whiter by dipping your toothbrush in a mashed strawberry mixture, and brush vigorously, it removes yellowing and stains...really.
I know that has nothing to do with acne, but the toothpaste reminded me.

it dries it up really fast. but only put a little on the pimple and not your skin!

It dries them out, which takes out all the crap from them. Dermatologist's don't recommend it because it may lead to scarring, but if you have like one or 2 zits, go ahead and try it! Try not to use whitening toothpaste, because it may lighten the skin.

some toothpastes have baking soda and these things inside that help dry up your pimple and make it less redd.

it dries out the oil... which is what causes pimples... but it does work really well overnight when you are getting one!
